Ayurvedic diet : an individual approach

Ayurveda has always had an individualized approach to nutrition. Fine out how you structure your diet to fit your constitution. One of the fundamental ideas in Ayurveda is that your body is intelligent and seeks health if you support it through good habits. Additionally, health is defined as a dynamic state – not just the absence of disease as in modern medicine. The idea in Ayurvedic nutrition is that health can be increased not just maintained through right lifestyle and diet. Thus, an Ayurvedic diet is an individualized approach that brings a dynamic state of being.

Part 1 E-learning

This program will teach the basic principles and practices of Ayurveda to practicing therapists who wish to include Ayurvedic therapies in their current practice. This course is also recommended to people wanting to learn about Ayurveda for their personal well-being and that of their family and who have no prior experience of Ayurveda. Therapists need to inquire about practitioners insurance through their current professional bodies as this program will not qualify non-professionals. This course is purely an Ayurvedic training with no bio-medical studies or Western anatomy. The graduates will be qualified as “Ayurvedic Health Care Educators” to the extent allowed by their existing health care licenses and local state or countries laws. This program has been prepared in cooperation with the Vinayak Ayurvedic Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and the Vinayak Panchakarma Chikitsalaya, in Nagpur, India.

Please note that this course is not a beginning level study of Ayurveda. If the student is not able to answer basic questions of anatomy / physiology, diagnosis and pathology in relation to the formation and adaptation of herbs to an individual or disease pathology according to Ayurveda then they need to study the basics of Ayurvedic medicine. If the student does not have basic levels of Ayurveda it may not be possible for them to complete the four elements necessary for a diploma in Dravyaguna. In this case EIVS is not responsible for a lack of basic knowledge on the part of the student. This is an advanced level of study. If basic studies are needed please refer to Part 1 of the E-Learning program. This course is taught by Vaidya Atreya Smith.

See this page for more information (click here).

On completion of the 1250 hour course including all exams, written and practical, a diploma jointly signed by the Vinayak Panchakarma Chikitsalaya and the European Institutes of Vedic Studies will be issued to the student.
