Ayurvedic Practitioners E-Learning Program

450 hour E-Learning & 200 hour Clinical Studies Training

This program will teach the basic principles and practices of Ayurveda to practicing therapists who wish to include Ayurvedic therapies in their current practice. This course is also recommended to people wanting to learn about Ayurveda for their personal wellbeing and that of their family and who have no prior experience of Ayurveda. Therapists need to enquire about practitioners insurance through their current professional bodies as this program will not qualify non-professionals. This course is purely an Ayurvedic training with no bio-medical studies or Western anatomy. The graduates will be qualified as “Ayurvedic Health Care Educators” to the extent allowed by their existing health care licenses and local state or countries laws. This program has been prepared in cooperation with the Vinayak Ayurvedic Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and the Vinayak Panchakarma Chikitsalaya, in Nagpur, India.

Review of the Program

450 Total E-Learning Course Hours

160 hours of classroom hours - teacher study through E-Learning

250 hours – self study with assessment and exams

40 hours – 1 Case Study (5 pages or 2250 words minimum) & teacher assessment

200 hours of “Ayurvedic Clinical Study Program” (three weeks of full time study) in India

160 hours of classroom hours - study in India

40 hours - clinical method assessment

100 hours of Peripheral Subjects – Sanskrit, Yoga and others

On completion of the 750 hour course including all exams, written and practical, a diploma jointly signed by the Vinayak Panchakarma Chikitsalaya and the European Institutes of Vedic Studies will be issued to the student.

This program is composed of two elements: e-learning that embraces the most advanced teaching technology available today and real clinical studies in one of the world’s most renowned Indian Ayurvedic clinics. The e-learning program is taught by Europe’s most sought after teachers, Vaidya Atreya Smith, BSc and Alex Duncan, PhD and provides all basic study in Ayurveda. The clinical study program is taught by the world famous Dr Sunil V. Joshi, MD (ayu) which completes the practical internship program. These teachers bring more than 50 years of clinical experience to teaching the course.
