The E-learning course has two learning modules every week on Thursday at 5pm GMT time (17 h GMT) and Monday at 9am GMT time. Depending on where you live you need to subtract or add hours on to the GMT time to see what time the course will happen in your part of the world. CLICK HERE for a world time zone map.
So for Europe you add one hour and for California you subtract 8 hours.
The first E-learning class starts on September the 6th, 2012. After this the classes will be given at the same time on every Thursday until the 22th of November 2012. The last class in on Monday the 26th November 2012.
There are no classes in December or January! (almost)
Classes will start again on Thursday the 31st of January 2013 and will end on Monday the 3rd of June 2013. The first module has 12 weeks of study (Sept to Nov) and the second module has 17 weeks of study (31st January to 3rd of June). There is a spring break in April of one week.
Class structure-
1) the course has one session of 1.5 hours per week on Thursday at 5pm GMT and a second question and answer period on Monday morning at 9am GMT of 1.5 hours. All of the Monday sessions are live, some of the Thursday classes are live and others prerecorded. All sessions are recorded for students and for reference at any time during the course. There are four types of media being used: video live - forum live - meetings taught live - plus all recorded material including text (PDF), audio and video.
2) week structure is like this:
Thursday class with teacher - home work
Weekend self study and homework - post question answers on forum with student discussion
Monday morning GMT there is a Q&A session and discussion on last lesson and homework as well as the forum posts.
Any time after Monday an on-line quiz needs to be taken to complete the study of the last lesson.
Monday finishes subject and Thursdays begins new subject
You need to count on another 3 to 4 hours of individual study time per week. So this means 3 to 3.5 hours of "class" and 3 to 4 hours of homework and quiz, plan 6 to 8 hours per week because some lessons are difficult to understand and need more time. Other lessons are easy and can be done quicker. Also some lessons are 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours.
Part Two Clinical studies program in Nagpur, India will start at the beginning of August each year and last three weeks.
